Bureau Ritter is an internationally operating, non-profit agency that develops innovative strategies and funding programmes in the fields of art, culture, cultural policy and education. Madeline Ritter is acting as its Sole Shareholder and Managing Director. Before founding DIEHL+RITTER in 2011 (now Bureau Ritter) together with Ingo Diehl, she was called to the German Federal Cultural Foundation as a project director for her concept Tanzplan Deutschland – a partnership-based strategy that mobilised 21 million euros for dance and became a model project internationally. In 2016, Bureau Ritter received the Europa Nostra Award, the European Union's most important cultural heritage prize, for its pioneering measures to save dance heritage. The agency is initiator as well as promoter of DANCE ON and lead partner and project coordinator of the EU cooperation project DANCE ON, PASS ON, DREAM ON, co-operative manager of the funding programme TANZPAKT Stadt-Land-Bund (DANCE PACT Local-Regional-National) and cooperation-partner of the Tanzkongress that takes place in 2019 in Dresden.
