{"id":656,"date":"2022-01-05T12:01:16","date_gmt":"2022-01-05T11:01:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dance-on.net\/en\/?p=656"},"modified":"2023-11-24T16:36:13","modified_gmt":"2023-11-24T15:36:13","slug":"making-dances","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dance-on.net\/en\/productions\/making-dances\/","title":{"rendered":"Making Dances"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In \u201cMaking Dances\u201d, the Dance On Ensemble invites contemporary artists \u2013 Tim Etchells, and Mathilde Monnier\u2013 to respond in their own artistic languages to iconic works of modern and postmodern dance by Martha Graham and Merce Cunningham. \u00a0In these performance works the artists reflect on classical but radical works that challenged the rules of their time.<\/p>\n<p>Starting with Martha Graham\u2019s \u201cDeep Song\u201d (1937) performed by long term Graham soloist and Dance On Ensemble member Miki Orihara.
