{"id":522,"date":"2022-01-25T23:01:03","date_gmt":"2022-01-25T22:01:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dance-on.net\/en\/?p=522"},"modified":"2022-10-14T11:10:04","modified_gmt":"2022-10-14T09:10:04","slug":"ivana-muller","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dance-on.net\/en\/choreographers\/ivana-muller\/","title":{"rendered":"Ivana M\u00fcller"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"font_7\">Ivana M\u00fcller is a choreographer, artist and author of texts.\u00a0Through her choreographic and theatre works, performances, installations, text works, video-lectures, audio pieces, guided tours and web-works she re-thinks the politics of spectacle and spectacular, re-visits the place of imaginary and imagination, questions the notion of \u00ab\u00a0participation\u00a0\u00bb, investigates the idea of value and its representation, and keeps on getting inspired by the relationship between performer and spectator.<\/p>\n<p>In her pieces she often creates states of \u201cpossible\u201d inviting the spectators to collectively or individually engage in the experience of imagining, and in such a way re-invent that \u201cpossible\u201d over and over again.\u00a0Although she creates through various forms, theatre remains the principle context in which she develops and presents her work.<\/p>\n<p>Her pieces &#8211; amongst others <em>How Heavy Are My Thoughts<\/em> (2003), <em>Under My Skin<\/em> (2005), <em>While We Were Holding It Together<\/em> (2006), <em>Playing Ensemble Again And Again<\/em> (2008), <em>Working Titles<\/em> (2010), <em>60 Minutes of Opportunism<\/em> (2010), <em>Partituur<\/em> (2011), <em>In Common<\/em> (2012), <em>We Are Still Watching<\/em> (2012), <em>Positions<\/em> (2013), <em>Edges<\/em> (2016), <em>Conversations Out of Place<\/em> (2017) &#8211; have been produced and presented at\u00a0some of the major theatre festivals and venues in Europe, USA and Asia. Her work has been occasionally presented in visual art contexts.<\/p>\n<p>Ivana M\u00fcller was born in Zagreb and grew up in Croatia and in Amsterdam.
