In this touching dance piece, we meet ten women who embark on an emotional journey. They are in search of protection from the unpleasant and often intangible challenges of life. In a world characterized by sensory overload, they are faced with the task of preserving themselves and their inner center. Together they navigate through life’s uncertain moments, encouraging each other not to fall into stagnation but to move forward courageously. \u201cWillow tree\u201d is a tribute to resilience and the strength not to give up, even in life’s challenging times.<\/p>\n

A performance of the Dance On Lab by Nicole Berndt-Caccivio
\nIn AMOURUOMA, performers with life experience explore their emotional memories related to love, falling in love, breakups, jealousy, and all the other facets that emerge. From the puzzle pieces, images emerge that are expressed and performed through the body, dance, and perhaps the voice. A feeling like “butterflies in the stomach” might turn into a brilliant, improvised solo. A state like “hurt and left alone” possibly leads to a group choreography.<\/p>\n

Nicole Berndt-Caccivio was born in 1963 in Biel and is a Swiss dancer, choreographer and lecturer in contemporary dance. She is the artistic director of the Age Company<\/a> in Vienna, founded in 2009, which deals with art for and with older people. With the project “Collective Spheres<\/a>“, founded in 2020, she connects with younger dancers and choreographers on different artistic, pedagogical and performative levels.<\/p>\n

Only very special images remain in us, in our bodies and our memories. From shared moments, a fan opens up to individual frames of mind. In “tideland” they go in search of the common and individual understanding of things. They run across, disturb, collect and dive deep.<\/p>\n
